Are you trying to upset The Church?

Short answer: Yes.

Sort of short answer: Yes, but also no. Kinda. NGL I’d like the free publicity from the Christian right getting upset with me

Full answer

I am of the opinion that those of the faith should, from time to time, question their beliefs. This is a good and healthy practice that checks if you have picked up any funny ideas that go against your core values.

While I have not set out to actually hurt any feelings, I don’t mind if narrow-minded people get cross. That way tends to lead to effective publicity. More than that, though, any anger towards me reflects perhaps some unresolved conflict within oneself. After all, I’m just some flippant guy on the Internet that no one in their right mind should take all that seriously.

I’m here to poke a little fun, play with ideas, and provoke questions. Like why the religion founded on two commandments of love keeps burning people to death for being different or having weird ideas. How did we keep missing “love your enemies” all this time?

Therefore, if anyone gets good and cross with this silly site of mine, they may need to lighten up a little.

I hope my questions spur: Doing real research; Interesting debates; Free thinking; Being nicer to people; And maybe learning something along the way quite by accident.

I am not trying to convert anyone to anything.
