If the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil causes death…
- Perhaps trying to decide who is good and who is a damned evil sinner is bad for us, too
- Maybe judging people was always bad for us
- It could be that an innocent mindset is the key to a long and happy life
- They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing; perhaps we should not be in such a rush to know it all
- Perhaps the opposite is just giving people the benefit of the doubt

Eden was maybe not a garden
Trying to impress God with all our accomplishments would be like a candle trying to impress the sun with its flame.
Perhaps it is not that we are not allowed near God because we are bad, but more that God’s luminous existence is simply too much for us in our current state. In which case, God did not send Jesus because He demands punishment for our crimes, but rather that He wanted to hang out with His kids without disintegrating us.
