How to scare the vicar
When you get married, the vicar will ask you which Bible readings you want. Tell them you want your readings from The Song of Solomon. This will make them perspire, as this is a book of erotic poetry. It is full of naughty bits but also some highly romantic bits. Give the vicar a moment to panic before you tell him which bits you want.

When an exciting new potential heresy comes your way, if you don’t check to see if you can find the same information from another source, heresy is not for you.
Joan of Arc
Joan of Arc (French: Jeanne d’Arc), a French historical figure executed by the English for heresy in 1431, is a national heroine of France and a Roman Catholic saint. Joan accompanied an army during the Hundred Years War, adopting the clothing of a soldier, which ultimately provided a pretence for her conviction and execution. Whether her crossdressing and lifestyle have implications for her sexuality or gender identity is debated by modern scholars.
Joan of Arc was burned at the stake (for the heresy of being a girl wearing men’s clothing) by the English.
The early church embraced non-gender-conforming persons
In the book of Acts (Acts 8:27), Philip (one of the apostles) baptised an Ethiopian eunuch.
If Christians aren’t bound by the old testiment law
Then the Leviticus bit about men lying with men no longer applies, and Jesus is okay with you being gay.
St. Marinos the cross dresser
Marina’s mother died when she was very young. When she was older, her father prepared to marry her off and join a monastery. Marina didn’t fancy that. She shaved her hair, joining her father as a monk, Marinos.
During the funeral prayers for Marinos, one of the monks, who was blind in one eye, reportedly received full sight again after he touched her body.

If you’re able to self-reflect and identify and address your own shortcomings, heresy might be right for you.
Identify their bias
Before adding an exciting new heresy to your collection, you should try to identify the bias of the one giving it to you. They may have something other than ideas they are really trying to push. You should know what that is before you jump in.
Identifying the bias of your sources is not always easy. It takes practice and leads to something some people call discernment.
