Dare to think the unthinkable
Heresy is a questioning, challenging approach to knowledge and perceived wisdom.
Have some heretical comedy
Lollards, lol
Lollards were not modern Internet trolls; the group was active from the 14th into the 16th century in England. According to J. Patrick Hornbeck IIm the Lollards may have been inspired by the teachings of John Wyclif (who was into wild things like translating the Bible into English and radical poverty). They rejected transubstantiation, the powers of the pope, and a bunch of other stuff. They were, some have said, the beginnings of a “premature Reformation.”
With a name like that, though, we should call meme-spreaders Lollards because it is too perfect not to.
If you don’t like to be criticized, heresy most certainly isn’t for you.
If you don’t like to think a lot about your decisions because you depend on gut feelings, heresy is not for.
Nothing is a broad term
If nothing can separate us from the love of God, as it says in Romans 8:38, then the list of “Things That Can Stop Him Loving You” is an empty list. Thus, being LGBTQ+ or any other marginalised flavour of person is not on the list of nothing, as it is an empty list. Therefore, God loves the entire LGBTQ+ community without exception.
I apologise for any Christians who have said otherwise.
The bible says the gods made the Earth (maybe)
This should upset your pastor. Try pointing this out one Sunday and see if they light you on fire or something.
Where Genesis 1:2 says “And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” that “God” there is אֱלהִים (elohiym – H430), which is the plural of H433 (אֱלוַֹהּ אֱלוַֹהּ – God). See for yourself.
I mean, yes, this could be taken to mean angels, the host of heaven, or God in the “royal we” consulting with His own soul, but where’s the fun in that?
Heretics question established wisdom just as they question new ideas – both could be wrong.
Found some rich people herasy
I found some rich people’s heresy.
If you run a tobacco company, name your cigarettes Heretics
That way, anyone can burn a heretic without the police getting involved.
If you prefer gut feelings over clear thinking, heresy is not for you.
If your identity crumbles when another group is granted “rights”…
…that is not an identity, that’s bigotry. The cure for bigotry is standing up for the rights and needs of others. Hate cannot survive love.
The early church were all heretics (they got lit on fire too)
Now when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like a violent wind blowing came from heaven and filled the entire house where they were sitting. And tongues spreading out like a fire appeared to them and came to rest on each one of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them.

To avoid deceptions and find fresh heresy you have to work out your own answers.

Satan and Jesus are brothers
This will definitely upset some people. Here’s the heresy explanation anyway.
In Job 1:6, The Satan is counted among the sons (בֵּן – ben) of God. Jesus is also God’s son. Therefore, Satan is his older brother.
Many churches teach that Christians are sons of God, which makes Satan our brother as well.
I mean, yeah, some translations go with angels instead of sons for בֵּן, but why let that spoil a perfectly good heresy?
